Maps: What Is A Good Topographic Map For West Coast Flyfishermen?
Posted by jeremy on Tuesday, February 07 @ 17:34:20 PST
Hey, I am from Maine and I know that the Delorme Map is like a bible to most fly fisherman in Maine. Their topo maps are super easy to read and they break up the state by region and the maps make it easy for a fly fisherman to find his way in unfamiliar territory. I was wondering if there are any topo maps that allot of guys out west rely on? If so, I would appreciate any recommendations. Although, I would not be surprised if hand held electronic GPS devices become common place in the near future...however, if the battery goes dead...you better have a map.

Re: Maps: What Is A Good Topographic Map For Flyfishermen? by jason-c on Tuesday, February 07 @ 17:36:33 PST http://www.fliesandfinswest.com | | That is a great question. I have used those 7.5 minute topo maps. I believe the USGS puts them out. I would love some more info. I am not sure where to get them. Anyone know where to get those? Have any other maps-better ones? |
