Park City, Utah: Provo And Weber River Access
Posted by bigdog56 on Tuesday, April 11 @ 13:23:33 PDT
I've been vacationing in Park City, Utah for 15+ years and until recently had no big problems with access to the Provo River and Weber River. Last summer was my last trip to Park City. It seemed like any decent water was either posted or a human parking lot. Does anyone have some suggestions? Has anything changed since last summer?

Re: Park City, Utah: Provo And Weber River Access by skitch976 on Friday, April 21 @ 13:18:58 PDT | | The best fishing and least crowded fishing I have experienced on the Weber is above Rockport. It is difficult to get access to the river there because mostof it is private land, but if you talk to the land owners many are ok with you fishing as long as you have permission each time and you don't abuse it. |

Re: Park City, Utah: Provo and Weber River Access by jason-c on Tuesday, April 11 @ 13:43:13 PDT http://www.fliesandfinswest.com | | The river reconstruction project on the Middle Provo has concentrated fishing pressure to several small but productive areas. This project is scheduled to be completed this summer. Once it is finished fishing pressure will again be dispersed and access points will be much less crowded. The Lower Provo has had some access points become private. Local fly shops like The Trout Bum 2 in Park City can give you the low down. There are also many other options in the area. I would suggest exploring some of the other small stream fishing that Utah has to offer. With a good map and some exploration you will find many smaller less crowded rivers throughout the state. |
