Fly Line: They All Break Down
Posted by jason-c on Monday, May 22 @ 07:28:04 PDT
Dry and cracked fly lines do not cast, float, or support knots well. Proper cleaning and maintenance will help your line last longer but eventually they all need to be replaced. I only get about a year out of my 5 and 6 weights because I use them so much. I get about 2 years out of my 8 weight because I use them less. Replace your fly line when they are worn out. It will prevent problems at crucial times.
