Logan, Utah:Bear Lake, Logan River, Newton Reservoir-What Should I Fish?
Posted by wesfishes on Sunday, August 27 @ 14:42:37 PDT
I am heading up to the Bear Lake region near Logan, Utah for the Labor Day holiday. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the Logan River or Newton Reservoir. I would like to fly fishing for trout and/or muskies. I know there are a Lot of bodies of water up there I have never fished before-any tips?

It is about half way between Tony's grove and bear lake in the Logan canyon. This area (along with the Logan above tony's grove and Beaver Creek) is packed with Wild cuttthroats, some of which have never seen artificial flies. Take flying ants and hoppers but most importantly Royal Wulfs. You will catch them all day long on those flies and love it. It is one of my favorite places to fish dries in all of Utah. |
