Protect Your Rod: Simple But Effective
Posted by Z-man on Thursday, February 15 @ 19:58:16 PST
When you arrive at the River and begin gearing up, the tendency is to lean your rod up against the car. A better idea is to get it up out of the way. Put it under your windshield wipers for safe keeping. The wind won't knock it down and you won't slam it in the door!

Re: Protect Your Rod: Simple But Effective by boris on Monday, March 12 @ 11:40:31 PDT | Rod magnets from Tightline Etherprises are worth every penny of the $8 - you can find them at most outfitters. They hold your rod straight up to the side of your vehicle.
I'll never forget a particular trip to the Provo - I only brought my 4wt from Colorado - got distracted while gearing-up and slammed the door, shattering the rod tip. I never leave home without it.
