Western Mid-Day Blues: The West Heats Up And The Trout Stay Down
Posted by fliesandfinswest on Thursday, July 05 @ 19:47:03 PDT
We are in a drought out west. It has not rained in Utah for over a month. The fishing, however, has remained phenomenal. Take the time in the mid-day to recharge, refuel and re-hydrate so you can have the stamina to fish the whole day. Mid-day temperatures have been pushing 100 degrees in many places. The trout really slow down during that high sun, high heat part of the day. Particularly when it comes to the dry fly action. Wait it out and be ready to go because the evenings are on fire.
