South Fork Of The Boise River: Floating
Posted by mc00345 on Friday, September 21 @ 06:35:43 PDT
We are planning a trip to the South Fork in Idaho and plan to float the Canyon and Camp. Questions-If we camp in the canyon is it too far to float down to the take out each AM and then shuttle up and then float back to camp in the PM? Does that make to long a day? How do most people do it? We want to camp in the Canyon but are we better doing as a two day float as opposed to trying to do the whole canyon every day?
If we decided to move every day, is there a suggested itenarary for 3 - 4 days (3 nights - half first day). Any regulations or permits needed? I think you need a port-o-potty. Early October should be good with low water and moving Browns - Maybe even BWO's coming off. Any comments on the fishing? Thanks for any feedback,-Mysis
